Every self-serve Jotform plan carries one user seat. That, not the price, is why most people go looking. Prices read 9 September 2026.

Direct answer: most people searching for a Jotform alternative are not chasing a lower price. They hit one of two walls — every self-serve Jotform plan includes exactly one user, or the monthly submission cap on their tier. Which alternative fits depends on which wall you hit.

Jotform's own pricing page lists "1 User Individual Plan" on Starter, Bronze, Silver and Gold alike. Adding a colleague means Enterprise, which is quote-only.

If the problem is the single seat

Tally and Fillout both put team members on the paid plan without charging per seat — Fillout states no per-seat charges on its pricing page and includes unlimited seats even on the free tier. Cognito Forms includes 2 users at $24/mo and 5 users plus 5 guests at $49/mo, so seats are priced explicitly rather than sold as an Enterprise conversation.

Against Jotform Silver at $39/mo for one seat, any of the three is cheaper the moment a second person needs access.

If the problem is the submission cap

Jotform Bronze allows 1,000 submissions a month and Silver 2,500. Tally's free plan publishes unlimited submissions subject to its fair-usage guidelines, which is the single largest gap in the table. Fillout's free plan allows 1,000 responses a month — the same as Jotform Bronze at $34.

Typeform is the wrong direction here: its ladder is priced on monthly responses, with Basic at 100 responses a month. If volume is your problem, Typeform makes it worse.

If the problem is that forms feel dated

Typeform is the one-question-at-a-time format people are usually picturing, and Tally is the closest free equivalent in feel. That is a design preference, not a capability gap, and it costs $39/mo monthly on Typeform Basic against free on Tally.

Where Jotform still wins

Jotform's paid tiers include every feature — payments, signatures, HIPAA-enabled features on the relevant plans — rather than gating them by tier, and it publishes the largest template library of the group. If you are one person who needs a lot of capability and no collaborators, the single-seat model is not a problem and Jotform is a reasonable place to stay. Silver at $39/mo is the tier most individuals land on.

What we could not verify

We did not read Typeform's Plus and Business prices from its own pricing page and are not printing third-party numbers for them. Fillout's higher tiers were not fully readable either; we printed only its published entry price. Google does not publish a Forms-only price because it is bundled. Each vendor's pricing page is authoritative over this one.
