Affiliate disclosure

Last updated

Best Digital Tools is operated by JackDoesDigital LLC, Murray, Utah, United States. The site earns affiliate commission when a visitor buys through some of the outbound links on it, at no additional cost to the visitor. This page states where that money comes from and what it is not allowed to influence.

How the site makes money

When a visitor clicks certain outbound links and later buys from the vendor, the vendor or its affiliate network pays us a commission. The visitor pays the same price they would pay going direct. Commission is the site's revenue; there is no paid placement, no sponsored listing and no fee a vendor can pay to be tracked, ranked higher, or reviewed.

Which networks we participate in

We are an affiliate in four networks: ClickBank, Digistore24, impact.com and Partnerize. Commission rates, cookie windows, recurring-payment terms and refund handling differ between programs, and they differ between individual programs inside the same network. Those terms are captured per offer and dated, and they are visible on the operator-facing side of the site rather than assumed to be uniform.

How outbound links work

Outbound affiliate links pass through our own redirect before reaching the vendor. The redirect records that a click happened and appends a sub-identifier naming the page and the position of the link on it, so we can tell which pages produce clicks. It does not store your IP address — see /privacy. Not every outbound link on this site is an affiliate link: we link to vendor pricing pages, marketplace listings and source documents as plain references, and those earn nothing.

Products we own

A small number of tracked products are our own. Pindeck and Digital Product Drop are both operated by JackDoesDigital LLC — the same company that operates this site. We have a direct financial interest in them beyond commission, and you should read anything we publish about them with that in mind.

These are flagged as own products in the database rather than handled by convention, and they are excluded from the automated screening that admits or rejects third-party offers. That exclusion is the reason this disclosure is stated here in full instead of only on the product pages: an own product does not clear the same automated bar a third-party offer has to clear.

What commission is not allowed to touch

The buyer-facing Product Score contains no commission, payout, EPC or earnings data at any weight. That is a property of the scoring code, not a promise of restraint: the buyer-safe component set is defined separately from the affiliate-facing one, and a commission input has no path into it. See /methodology/product-score.

The affiliate-facing Opportunity Score does consider commission economics, because it exists to answer a different question — whether an offer is worth promoting. It never renders on a buyer-facing page: not on tool pages, comparisons, alternatives or answer pages. See /methodology/opportunity-score.

What commission does not decide

Commission does not determine what gets tracked and does not determine what gets published. A page is generated when the underlying data changes materially — a term change, a metric movement past a threshold, a status change — not when a payout would be attractive. A high-commission offer with no change in its data produces no page. See /editorial-standards.

No income claims

We make no income claims, no earnings promises and no statements about what any tool will do for your revenue or your timeline. We publish no testimonials and no user counts we cannot source to a stored, dated observation. An automated check runs over generated copy before publication and blocks that language, so it cannot reach a page by accident.

Marketplace figures such as gravity or average payout describe how an offer performs in that marketplace. They describe the offer, not you, and they are not a prediction of anyone's results.

FTC statement

In plain language, as required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements, testimonials and material connections: this site earns money from some of the links on it, and it owns two of the products it tracks. Both of those are material connections, and both are disclosed here and on the pages where they apply.
